I’m one of five siblings, and as the eldest, I naturally stepped into a big sister and carer role from a young age. Growing up in a challenging household, I took on responsibilities like cooking, cleaning, and helping my siblings with schoolwork. These experiences made me independent, resilient, and nurturing.
Although my childhood wasn’t easy, it shaped me into someone strong and empathetic. I spent time in the care system and supported lodgings as a teenager, where I developed my skills further. Today, I have a close relationship with my family — especially my siblings, who mean the world to me.
My experiences have taught me the value of stability, kindness, and patience — all of which I bring to any childcare role.
Alongside this, I’ve studied Performing Arts in college and just completed my course. Performing has been my passion since childhood — I started singing at five — and it’s always been a creative outlet where I feel most at home. It also helps me connect with children in a fun, engaging way.
During my first two years of college, I volunteered with a children’s company and absolutely loved working with the kids. It confirmed my love for nurturing young minds. I have big dreams of building a career in the performing arts and, one day, reaching Hollywood — but I’ll always carry my passion for working with children alongside that.
My Experience
Since the age of 7, I’ve taken care of my three younger siblings. I was responsible for helping with homework, cooking meals, playing games, giving them medicine when they were unwell, monitoring their screen time, and taking them out on activities — including trips to the London Aquarium, the cinema, and more. Taking on these responsibilities from such a young age has made me mature, organised, and confident when it comes to looking after children.
Alongside my family experience, I also volunteered once a week for two years at a children’s theatre company called Angel Shed, which specialises in working with children who have disabilities, additional behavioural needs, or special educational requirements. During this time, I learned some Makaton, safeguarding practices, and how to spot signs of abuse or neglect.
Our focus was helping children build communication skills through interactive games and collaborative theatre projects. One of our main goals was to guide the children in devising their own performances — giving them the tools to express themselves confidently while learning the building blocks of communication in a supportive environment.
I have also done some babysitting for my cousins little 1 year old - including playing, feeding, changing and much more.
I also just finished working part time with a family via another babysitting platform - Same things apply. I pick them up and take them to school, cook dinner, do homework with them, clean up, play with them etc.
My Qualifications
I graduated from a Level 3 Diploma in performing Arts in College.
I have all my GCSE's including English, Maths and 1 Extra in Portuguese
I have a Paediatric First Aid Certificate and DBS check from a couple months ago done through Another Nanny Platform.
I've had training in Nannying and Nurturing little ones under 4 years old.
My Availability
I am fully available at the moment and looking for a full time job!
My Fees
- Babysitting from £17.00 per hour
My minimum babysitter charge per hour is £17 but happy to discuss
