My Experience

I am an experienced educator with over 10 years of teaching and childcare experience across the UK and internationally. Throughout my career, I have supported children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, helping them develop confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning.

I currently work as an Early Years Room Leader, leading a busy preschool room where I oversee the care, learning and development of children aged 3-5 years. I have fully completed my Level 6 Early Years Teacher (EYITT) qualification, further developing my knowledge of child development, leadership and inclusive practice.

Before working in Early Years, I taught English both online and overseas, planning and delivering engaging lessons for learners from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. This experience has given me a strong understanding of how children learn and how to adapt my teaching to suit different abilities, confidence levels and learning styles.

My Qualifications

BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art
My degree has given me a creative approach to teaching, encouraging imagination, problem-solving and hands-on learning. I enjoy using creative techniques to make lessons engaging, memorable and accessible for every child.

Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate
Qualified to teach English to children and adults whose first language is not English. This has provided me with extensive experience in teaching phonics, reading, writing, speaking, listening and building confidence in English.

Level 6 Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
Holding Early Years Teacher Status has provided me with specialist knowledge of child development, the EYFS framework, school readiness, high-quality teaching and inclusive practice. This qualification enables me to support children's learning through evidence-based approaches tailored to their individual needs.

Enhanced DBS Checked
I hold a current Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate, providing reassurance that I am suitable to work safely with children.

Paediatric First Aid Qualified
Fully trained in Paediatric First Aid, ensuring I can respond confidently and appropriately in the event of an emergency.

Committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
I regularly participate in professional development to ensure my knowledge remains up to date. This includes training in safeguarding, child development, inclusion, communication and language, behaviour support and current educational best practice, allowing me to provide the highest quality support for children and families.

My Availability

I offer flexible tutoring sessions to suit the needs of children and families. Lessons are available during weekdays, evenings, weekends and school holidays by arrangement.

Whether you're looking for regular weekly tuition, school readiness sessions, homework support or short-term help before assessments, I will do my best to accommodate your family's schedule.

I offer both face-to-face tutoring in the Shrewsbury area and online lessons for families across the UK.

My Fees

• Tutoring from £35.00 per hour

My tuition fees reflect my qualifications, professional experience and the personalised support I provide for every learner. Every session is carefully tailored to the individual child, with a focus on building confidence, developing key skills and creating a positive, enjoyable learning experience.

Early Years & School Readiness: From £35 per hour
Primary English & Literacy: From £35 per hour
ESOL Tuition: From £35 per hour

Each session is individually planned to meet your child's needs and includes tailored resources where appropriate.
