My Summary

My Experience

I have worked as a support worker for children with complex behavioural and mental health needs, SEND and SEMH for over 6 months, my days are usually 15 hour shifts (7-22) in which almost 'babysit' the children whilst also acting as a pillar for therapeutic and behavioural support; I have to manage behaviours of concern and prepare the children for an eventual transition to independence. I have a younger sister, for whom I am a secondary carer as she has Tourette's and FND, and I babysat for my cousin's babies (2 & 4) for the whole of my A Levels. I also have 2 degrees in Psychology, both of which have very focused modules on developmental and child psychology - I have an understanding of children, their psyche and cognition. I am also first aid trained, my certification is valid for 3 years.

My Qualifications

I have a 2:1 in BSc Psychology (Hons) from the University of Bristol, a predicted Distinction in MSc Health Psychology (Hons) from the University of Gloucestershire, I have AAA in my A Levels (Psychology, History, English Literature) and 10 GCSEs grades 7-9. I am first aid certified and have a fully enhanced DBS certificate.

My Availability

I am available any day and time, I would prefer either 30-40 hours a week but longer shifts and fewer days, or 24-30 hours a week for shorter shifts but more days.
