My Summary
About Me
Hello! I'm Izzy and I live in Cirencester with my husband and our dog, Ralph. I am a full-time primary school teacher at a local village school. I am passionate about working with children in the Early Years and Key Stage One.
I absolutely love working with children and feel incrediby lucky to have a career where I can help them learn, grow and develop their confidence. I am a warm, caring and nurturing person who enjoys creating fun, engaging experiences for children through play, creativity and exploration.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time outdoors, walking our dog, exploring the Cotswolds, going to a local book club and spending time with family and friends.
I am available for babysitting and holiday childcare alongside my teaching role, particularly during school holidays.
What I could offer: holiday childcare, school readiness, creative activities, outdoor play, reading support, phonics games, crafts, trips to local parks/libraries/play groups.
My Experience
I have over 9 years' experience working with children and I currently work as a Primary School teacher and Early Years Lead within a local primary school (Ashbury CE Primary School, Swindon). I have extensive experience supporting children aged 3-7 years old, including planning activities, supporting children's development and creating safe, stimulating environments where children can thrive. I have planned and delivered clubs to children aged 3-11 years old.
Through my teaching role, I have developed a strong understanding of child development, early learning, behaviour support and the importance of building positive relationships with children. I also have experience supporting children with a range of additional needs and adapting activities to ensure every child feels included and successful.
I am DBS checked, paediatric first aid trained and safeguarding trained - I am deputy designated safeguarding lead for our school. I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident and reassured when leaving their children in someone else’s care, and I always prioritise children’s safety, happiness and wellbeing.
I can offer childcare that is not only fun and engaging but also supports children’s confidence, learning and development through play and educational activities.
