About Me
I'm a qualified Primary Teacher with over 15 years' experience teaching in UK primary schools. I am passionate about helping children become confident, fluent readers and believe that every child can succeed with the right support.
I provide personalised, engaging reading sessions that build confidence, develop key reading skills and inspire a lifelong love of books. My aim is to create a positive, encouraging environment where every child feels supported and enjoys reading.
My Experience
Over the past 15 years, I have worked across a range of UK primary school settings, supporting children throughout KS1 and KS2. I specialise in phonics, reading fluency and reading comprehension, tailoring sessions to meet each child's individual needs.
My experience includes:
Delivering the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check
Preparing pupils for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 SATs
Using Bug Club and Accelerated Reader to support and monitor reading progress
Assessing pupils using Bug Club Reading Assessments and GL Assessments
Planning targeted interventions to improve reading confidence, fluency and comprehension
Working closely with parents to support children's reading development at home
I hold a current Enhanced DBS check and up-to-date safeguarding training, ensuring a safe, professional and supportive learning environment for every child.

I currently offer one-to-one reading sessions during:
Summer Holidays – Flexible daytime, afternoon and evening appointments
Term Time – Afternoons and evenings
Sessions are available in person (subject to location) or online by arrangement.

- Tutoring from £45.00 per hour
FREE – 20-minute initial reading assessment
Daily Reading Session (15 minutes) – from £12
Perfect for busy families who want their child to read regularly with an experienced teacher.
30-minute Reading Session – £25
45-minute Reading Session – £35
60-minute One-to-One Reading comprehension Session – £45
All sessions are tailored to your child's individual needs to develop reading fluency, comprehension, confidence and a lifelong love of reading.
