My Experience
Babysitting - I knew a family very well during my teen years and was trusted to care for their two children, a 2 year old boy and 7 year old girl on weekends and evenings. I supported their nighttime routine including bedtimes, reading, evening activities, bathtimes, and occasionally prepared dinners.
Girl chorister supervisor - Before university I supervised the girl choristers ages 6-14 at Ripon Cathedral. This was a 6 month role focused on creating a calm and supportive environment for the girls while they trained each evening. I built strong relationships with the parents as I got to know each of the girls, prepared food and drinks, was trusted with medicines, and additionally trained in child safeguarding.
Climbing instructor - Between 2015 to 2021 I worked at three different organisations in climbing and outdoor sport instructor roles. I taught climbing to children ages 4-17 and worked to create a safe and engaging environment where they could learn to climb and have fun. I have also worked with children who have disabilities as a volunteer instructor at a charity that supports young paraclimbers, Adventures Await.

My Availability
