Esme
Babysitter in Radstock
My Summary
About Me
Hi my name is Esme and I am looking to grow my experience with children. I have been studying health ad social care for 4 years now and have done previous work with children both formally and informally. I am someone who is patient and understanding with children, especially special needs children. not every child is the same and just because one child responds well to something, it doesnt mean that the other child will. I am the type of babysitter to try and make the parents feel more relaxed knowing that they will come home to extra help which has been done. This includes tasks such as cleaning, hoovering, tidying, taking care of pets, cooking dinner, etc. I take pride in my standards of care and want to demonstrate that I am reliable, responsible, and trustworthy.
My Experience
I have previous experience with working with children both formally and informally. My formal experience includes being a ride attendant at Victoria Park as well as supervising children during their time in the soft play. During my time at Victoria Park, I managed the childrens safety by fastening their seatbelts before the ride, carrying out enhanced safety checks every 2 hours, and supervising the behaviour of children on the ride so that nobody is injured. my other formal experience includes supervising children during their time in the softplay, making sure children arent succeptable to any injuries which could be avoided. My informal experience includes babysitting my sister in laws niece. During this time, I helped her to try and overcome her eating disorder (ARFID) by providing reassurance, well structured meal plans, and helping to identify the negative thoughts related to the food. Some of my duties included cooking her an evening meal, picking her up from school (10 minute walk) and helping her with her after school learning.
My Qualifications
My qualifications include all GCSE's grade 4, level 3 BTEC in Health and Social care, A-level criminology and law, First Aid Course which includs both adults and children, and safeguarding. Online courses WITH certificates include suicide prevention, first aid at work, fire safety, med management, heat and cold injury, and safe persons.
My Availability
As stated below, my availability is high and often, apart from Tuesday and Wednesday Evenings. During these 2 evenings, I volunteer at Wells and Midsomer norton Army cadets. Overnight stays arent a service which I offer as its not something which I am comfortable with.
