Babysitter in Coventry
My Summary
About Me
Hi! I’m an upcoming university student who will be studying psychology with business plus German in September, currently I hold a level 2 and 3 qualification in health and social care where I was educated on child development, safeguarding and their education at each life stage. I also work part time as a community support aide where I manage care for individuals who have just been discharged from the hospital, on top of this I also handle delicate hospital equipment that I set up in patients homes in order to ensure they have a steady recovery and have access to the support they need, because of this I have been completely trained in safeguarding, health and safety risk assessments and emergency procedures. In addition to my healthcare background I’ve volunteered before at a nursery for about a week where I was tasked with looking after children aged 2-3, during this time I played with them, read to them, helped the workers dish up lunch and handled any issues between the children such as tiny arguments. I currently hold a clean DBS and love to help children progress in their learning to showcase this every Thursday I’m year 13 I was a mentor to a year 7 girl who I helped in her studies and I’m getting her settled into the new school environment so I have plenty experience dealing with children of all ages. I hope you consider taking me on as your babysitter as I will ensure to provide a safe, stable environment for your children where they can freely have fun and learn.
My Experience
I currently work professionally as a community support aide where I help people living in Coventry and occasionally rugby with their household needs, this role was created in order to aid in people’s recovery throughout their transition from the hospital to their own home again, majority of the people I help live alone so they may need extra hands around their home in order to live comfortably. This role requires a high level of responsibility and commitment on top of a strict adherence to care plans and proactive risk assessments which means it is up to me as the sole provider of that individual to ensure they are safe and can manage their own health and condition whilst taking care of the upkeep of their own home.
My second level of experience is my early years experience volunteering at a nursery. Whilst being at the nursery I worked from 9AM to 4PM providing support to the workers, what this meant was that I helped them supervise the children’s activities and even got to host my own activities such as painting which they greatly enjoyed. During this time I dedicated my support towards the more quieter kids as I could see that needed an extra push towards making friends at nursery so I would often get involved during play time and make all the kids play together so nobody felt alone. I often read to the children and sat with them while they ate their lunch and sorted any arguments or dilemmas that may have plagued them such as fights over toys or who could hold my hand. Overall I loved the nursery experience and it fuelled my love for helping children.
My third experience was being a mentor in six form, now as sixform we where the oldest in the school which often meant we could support the youngest in their adjustment into secondary school so every Thursday I would meet with my mentee and help in whatever she needed, whether that was a specific situation, walking her to her classes, getting involved in situations or tutoring her in specific subjects such as English and science so she was ready for her end of term tests. I was a mentee for a whole school year and left sixth form with a strong connection with my mentee who is currently thriving now in year 8 which I am so happy about.
