My Experience

My experience first began as an ice skating coach to young children when I was only a teenager myself.

I got my first job in a family friends nursery and trained on the job to become a nursery practitioner.

I then moved onto my next nursery where I worked up to becoming a third in charge and a deputy manager of this nursery and even took on a temporary role as acting manager.

I relocated to Daventry and found myself in a lovely school where I had to step back down and return as a pre-school practitioner! This is where I also trained to become a forest school lead and found myself loving the educating aspect of childcare! I delivered group times focusing on Maths, Drama,cookery, topic time, talking time and so on!

I then explored a new career where I became a therapeutic support learning mentor and really focused on young adults/children's mental health and wellbeing.

Finally I have found myself here writing this post at 23:11 and so far it’s been great reading everyone’s posts and seeing beautiful family pictures.

• Nursery work from £15.00 per hour

Hi there! I’m Gabs a friendly and bubbly reliable 28-year-old childcare professional with 8 years of direct experience working in primary schools and early years nurseries.
I offer temporary short-term daytime cover as well as regular evening and weekend babysitting. Having spent years in classrooms, I bring high-standard educational experience, routine management, and engaged care directly into your home.

Next 2 Weeks Only: Available for daytime care, school drop-offs, and school pickups (full/part-time daytime cover before I start my new job).
Ongoing / Long-Term: Available for week nights!

8+ Years Professional Experience in Early Years (EYFS) & Primary School settings

? What I Offer
I love keeping children actively engaged with age-appropriate craft activities, outdoor play, reading, and developmental games. I am confident managing school pickup logistics, homework support, healthy meal prep, and bedtime routines for children of all ages.

Rates & Fees ?:
• Standard Evening Babysitting: £15 per hour- 1 child)
• School Pickups & Daytime Care: £10 – £15 per hour (Available next 2 weeks)
• Additional Siblings: +£3.00 per hour
• Minimum booking of 2 hours.
Only available until 10pm (occasionally 11:30pm on special requests)
