Hi I'm Viv. I am a recently retired physician who has lived in central Cambridge (CB1) for over 7 years. I have extensive experience working with children, including in Paediatrics, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within the NHS.
I am now looking to provide part-time childminding for a compatible family on a short- to medium-term basis. My medical background has given me a calm, patient, and caring approach, as well as the confidence to support children's wellbeing and respond appropriately to their needs.
I have a nice home and my own car, making me reliable and flexible with travel and accommodation. I would be delighted to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children, and I look forward to supporting local families in Cambridge.
My Experience
My work with children included supporting their physical and mental wellbeings with compassion. In my Child and Adolescent Psychiatry role, I worked therapeutically with children, young people, and their families, helping them understand and manage emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges.
I am happy to do casual tasks like story-telling, dancing, sports and fun games with children, based on the family's preferences and needs.
