My Summary
About Me
There's nothing like watching a child's face light up when something finally clicks. As a qualified teacher (QTS) with experience across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, I bring a structured but child-led approach: I take time to understand how each child learns best and adapt to that, rather than using a one-size-fits-all method.
I'm patient, calm, and attentive to what a child needs in the moment. Sometimes that's active, hands-on learning, other times it's quiet, focused support. I believe strongly in making learning feel engaging and fun rather than like a chore, so children stay motivated rather than switching off. I like bringing games, humour and creativity into sessions wherever I can, since children learn best when they're enjoying themselves and don't feel like they're being tested.
I've worked with families from a wide range of backgrounds through my nursery and school experience, and I hold a BSc in Psychology with a focus on child development, which shapes how I think about progress and motivation. I'm fluent in English and can hold conversation in Urdu and Hindi.
Communication with parents is a priority. I want to work with you on your child's progress, not just deliver sessions. Above all, I want children to feel safe, confident, and genuinely excited about learning when they're with me.
My Experience
I'm a qualified teacher (QTS) with a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and a degree in Psychology with a focus on child development. I've worked as a Nursery Teacher, leading a team of Learning Support Assistants, and have experience across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 through school placements.
I'm on the DBS Update Service, so my certificate is always current and easy to verify. I bring a genuine understanding of child development to tutoring, alongside real classroom experience in behaviour, routines, and learning support.
My Qualifications
I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Primary PGCE, plus a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification focused on children from birth to five. I also have a BSc in Psychology with a focus on child development. On top of this, I'm trained in paediatric first aid and safeguarding, so I'm well prepared to keep children safe and respond confidently if anything comes up.
