About Me
Hi, my name is Lauren, I work as a Teaching Assistant. I have a small childcare and wellbeing service called Steady Steps.
I’m a mum of a 3 year old boy and I’m passionate about supporting children and families to thrive through nurturing, play-based care and practical wellbeing support and as my service continues to grow I will become more flexible.
What I offer:

Whether you need a few hours to yourself or support during school holidays and weekends, I provide safe and engaging care where children can feel happy, valued and secure.
* Children’s Wellbeing Sessions
I offer fun, child-centred wellbeing sessions that help children build confidence, understand their emotions and develop healthy coping strategies. These sessions provide early intervention support through play and creative activities and are NOT counselling or therapy.
With years experience working with children and families in education, my goal is to provide trusted, compassionate support that meets every child where they are.

My Experience
With experience supporting children from birth through to 11 years old, I’ve worked with babies, toddlers and children across all primary school ages in both childcare and educational settings. I have extensive experience supporting children with additional needs and am passionate about helping every child feel safe, understood and valued.
I’m fully DBS checked (on the update service), first aid and safeguarding trained, fully insured, and have completed a wide range of wellbeing training to support children’s emotional health and development. My aim is to provide trusted, compassionate care and support that families can feel confident in.

My qualifications and training include:
* Level 3 Childcare NVQ
* Playwork Level 3
* Paediatric First Aid
* Food Hygiene
* Safeguarding Training
* ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) Training
* Mental Health First Aid Training
* A range of additional courses in children’s wellbeing, behaviour and emotional development.
My Availability
I’m currently available to offer my services throughout all school holidays and at weekends.
My availability is likely to become more flexible, with additional weekdays becoming available in the future.
If your child attends nursery through the school holidays and you wish to continue I am also able to do pick ups/ drop offs.

- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
