My Experience

have worked in health and social care for over five years, supporting adults with a range of care needs, including personal care, daily living support, and promoting their independence. My main responsibilities included providing person-centred care, assisting with personal hygiene, preparing nutritious meals, supporting with household tasks, accompanying individuals to appointments and community activities, maintaining accurate records, and communicating effectively with families and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care. In addition, I have experience supporting children with special educational needs, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviours. In this role, I accompanied children to and from school, ensuring their safety and wellbeing throughout the journey. I encouraged positive engagement and appropriate behaviour, managed challenging situations calmly and professionally, followed safeguarding and health and safety procedures, and maintained clear professional boundaries at all times. My focus was always on creating a safe, supportive, and positive environment while promoting each child's wellbeing and development.
