About Me
I am Lucy, a qualified Primary teacher and swimming teacher. I have just completed my probationary year in a lovely Primary 2 class, allowing me to gain lots of experience working with children with additional needs and complx need. I currently work as a lifeguard, meaning I hold a complete First Aid qualification as well as a swimming teacher qualification. I do currently have a 4 week shift pattern, however I have 14 days off a month and would love to fill these working with children as this is my passion.
My Experience
I have studied for four years at the University of Stirling, and completed placements along with this, in nurseries and primary schools. I have worked with children since 2019 through swim teaching and summer clubs. I have a full swimming teaching qualification. I have recently completed my probationary year in primary teaching within a primary 2 class. In this class, I worked with pupils with additional support needs, as well as children with complex needs.
My Qualifications
I have a BA (Hons) Professional Education (primary) with a Specialism in Modern Languages. I achieved this in 2025.
I am registered as a qualified teacher with the GTCS.
I have a First Aid qualification, registered with the STA.
I have a Scottish Swimming Teacher Qualification with Scottish Swimming.
My Availability
I currently work as a full time Lifeguard and work on a four week rotation, with shifts raging from early shifts to late shifts. This means I will have many afternoons and evenings off, as well as mornings. I also have 14 days off a month, so hope to use these days to work with children.
