I'm a friendly (Canadian),caring and dependable person who genuinely enjoys supporting and looking after others. Before moving into my career in project management, I spent almost 10 years in Canada working as a Direct Support Professional, supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. This experience shaped who I am today and taught me the importance of patience, compassion and creating safe, positive environments where people feel valued, seen and supported.
Alongside my professional care background, I have experience looking after my niece and nephew, as well as helping many family and friends with childcare. I love spending time with children, helping them learn, be creative whilst exploring and have fun. Whether that’s through games, creative activities, arts 'n crafts, reading, outdoor adventures or simply being there as a friendly and supportive presence.
I’m organised, reliable and calm under pressure, qualities I’ve developed through both my care work and my career managing complex projects. I understand how important trust is when choosing someone to care for your children, and I take that responsibility seriously.
My aim is always to provide a safe, caring and fun environment where children feel comfortable being themselves, while giving parents peace of mind that their little ones are in good hands.
My Experience
I have almost 10 years of professional care experience from my time working in Canada as a Direct Support Professional, supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and some with dual diagnosis. This role involved providing personalised support, encouraging independence, managing daily routines and creating safeguarding, supportive environments where people could feel safe to thrive.
Through this experience, I developed strong skills in patience, communication, empathy, problem-solving and adapting my approach to meet different needs. I understand the importance of building trust, being reliable and providing care that makes people feel comfortable, valued and supported.
Alongside my professional care background, I have regularly supported family and friends with childcare, including caring for my niece and nephew. I enjoy helping children learn, play and explore through creative activities, games, reading, outdoor activities and everyday routines.
I bring a calm, organised and responsible approach with experience handling different situations while ensuring the wellbeing and happiness of those in my care.
My Qualifications
10 yrs professional care with individuals with intellectual disabilities, also many having dual diagnosis. DBS Check. Have previous First Aid and CPR training (looking to refresh this)

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £25.00 per hour (gross)
My rates reflect my professional care background, including almost 10 years supporting individuals with additional needs, alongside childcare experience with family and friends. I'm happy to discuss rates depending on the requirements, number of children and responsibilities involved
