About Me

I am a qualified Primary teacher with 18 years experience. I have supported SEN children and I am currently studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Autism and Learning Disabilities.
DBS Checked.

My Experience

I have 18 years experience of Primary teaching.
I have 10 years experience supporting young people with SEN in school settings.
I have two autistic children of my own so I have a good understanding of supporting children with emotional regulations and being nurturing, patient and calm. I understand that all children learn and develop at their own pace.
I am currently delivering Wellbeing sessions with autistic young people, including teenagers.
I am trained in understanding EBSA, sensory differences and I make adaptations to my sessions through the use of visual resources, movement breaks, and adapting to communication needs.
I am a caring, empathic, supportive person and I aim to create an environment in which each young person can thrive.

My Qualifications

PGCE in Primary Education
Currently studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Specialism in Learning Disabilities and Autism.
