My Experience

I have several years of professional childcare experience and have worked with children in a variety of settings. Through an agency, I’ve been caring for twins, now aged 6, one child with SEN, for the past 3 years, supporting them with school pick-ups, homework, meal preparation, playtime and bedtime routines.

In addition to this, I’ve worked at SEN holiday camps, supporting children with a range of additional needs and helping to create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment. I have also completed work experience in a nursery, giving me experience with younger children and early years development.

I have also worked as a Support Worker in a mother and baby unit, where I supported mothers and their babies in a residential setting. My role involved helping to maintain a safe and supportive environment, assisting with the day-to-day care of babies and supporting mothers with routines and practical tasks. This experience strengthened my understanding of infant care, safeguarding and the importance of providing patient, compassionate and non-judgemental support while responding appropriately to the individual needs of both mother and baby.

Alongside my professional roles, I’ve provided private babysitting for families, caring for children of different ages. These experiences have helped me become patient, reliable, adaptable and confident in tailoring my care to each child’s individual needs.
