My Summary

My Experience

I have recently graduated from the University of Chichester with a 2:1 degree in Primary Education. I began my studies in a teaching degree, but changed route midway through to the Primary Education course. Although I do not have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), I do have experience in teaching children aged 5-7, and working with children from nursery to year 7. At University, I specialised in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and the best practice for working with children with additional needs (regardless of a formal diagnosis). I have experience working with children with a variety of SEND and additional needs, including: dyslexia, autism, ADHD, selective mutism, trauma, physical disabilities and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Alongside my experience working with children, I have recently left a part-time job as a care assistant in a care home. I supported elderly residents with personal care (toiletting, dressing, washing), ensuring they took their medication, and using wheelchairs, stand-aids, full and partial hoists.

My Qualifications

University of Chichester - 2:1 in Primary Education Studies.

Burgate School and Sixth Form - B in A-level mathematics, B in A-level textile design and D in A-level chemistry.

Burgate School and Sixth Form - 9 in textiles, 8 in mathematics, 7 in French, 7 in German, 7-7 in combined science, 6 in music, 6 in further mathematics, 5 in English language, 5 in English literature.

My Availability

I am available from mid-October onwards and can be flexible with times to make things easier for you. I don't have a car, but I am able to get lifts to Salisbury, Romsey, Southampton and the surrounding areas, or travel via bus or train if needs be.
