My Summary
Experienced Babysitter & Nanny | Fun, Caring & Educational
About Me
I’m a warm, responsible and enthusiastic person with a passion for education, adventure and the outdoors. I have a Master’s degree in Political Theory from LSE and a genuine love of learning and helping children develop their interests and confidence.
I believe children learn best through curiosity, exploration and hands-on experiences. I love outdoor activities, nature, getting creative, cooking, gardening, reading and little adventures. I believe these experiences help children develop confidence, independence and creativity.
I’m patient, caring and dependable, and would aim to create a safe, fun and nurturing environment where children can learn, play and feel comfortable being themselves.
My Experience
I have extensive childcare experience, including regular babysitting for a variety of families and part-time nannying for one family over a three-year period. During this time, I cared for four boys ranging from newborn to 9 years old, often looking after multiple children at once and adapting to the different needs, routines and personalities of each child. My responsibilities included daytime and evening childcare, as well as occasional overnight and night-time care, giving me experience with bedtime routines, settling younger children, preparing meals, organising activities and ensuring children were safe, happy and well cared for throughout the day and night. I have particularly enjoyed creating fun, engaging activities for children of different ages, while also supporting their independence, learning and development. Alongside this longer-term nannying experience, I have babysat for multiple different families and children, which has helped me become adaptable, confident and comfortable quickly building trusting relationships with both children and parents.
My Qualifications
I don’t have formal childcare qualifications, but I have a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southampton and a Master’s degree in Political Theory from LSE. My education has developed strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. Alongside this, I have several years of practical childcare and babysitting experience, including part-time nannying for a family with four boys aged from newborn to 9 years old. Most importantly, I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and love creating a fun, caring and encouraging environment where they can learn, explore and grow.
