I am a passionate, caring and dedicated childcare professional with extensive experience supporting children and young people, including children with additional and complex needs. I have always had a strong passion for helping children feel safe, supported, valued and able to reach their full potential.
I have studied Childcare and Teaching at both college and university, giving me a strong understanding of child development, education, safeguarding and the individual needs of children. Alongside my education, I have gained a wealth of practical experience within childcare and education settings.
I have worked in a school for six years, where I have supported children with a wide range of needs and abilities. This experience has developed my confidence in providing personalised care, creating a safe and nurturing environment, supporting learning and development, and working closely with families and other professionals.
I have a particular passion for working with children with special educational needs and additional needs. I understand that every child is different and believe in taking a patient, compassionate and individualised approach to their care. I pride myself on building trusting relationships with children and families and adapting my support to suit each child’s personality, needs and circumstances.
I also have valuable medical childcare experience, giving me the confidence and understanding to support children who may require additional care and consideration. I have extensive experience working with children and young people across childcare, education and community settings. I have studied childcare and teaching at both college and university, which has given me a strong educational foundation alongside many years of hands-on experience.
For the past six years, I have worked in a school, gaining valuable experience supporting children with a wide range of needs, abilities and backgrounds. During this time, I have developed strong skills in providing one-to-one and group support, encouraging learning and development, promoting independence and creating a safe, positive and nurturing environment.
I have a particular passion and extensive experience in supporting children with special educational needs and additional needs. I understand the importance of adapting my approach to each individual child and providing patient, consistent and compassionate support. I have experience helping children with their emotional, social, educational and day-to-day needs while building positive and trusting relationships.
I also have medical childcare experience, giving me an understanding of the additional care, attention and responsibility that may be required when supporting children with medical needs. I am confident working alongside families and professionals to ensure children receive appropriate and consistent support.
Through my experience, education and passion for childcare, I have developed excellent communication, patience, organisation and safeguarding awareness. I am now excited to use my skills and experience to offer childcare and support services within my local community, helping families who may need additional support and providing children with the care and encouragement they deserve.
