About Me
Hello! My name is Maya.
I am 22 years old and have recently graduated from Birmingham City University and moved back to London.
I have provided childcare for children of all ages in the local area of Brockley, Lewisham and South London since I was 14.
I love working with children & young people to provide flexible and inclusive support and care.
My Experience
Previously, I worked at South East London Tennis as a Young Leader (2016-2022),including volunteering for initiatives to encourage children with disabilities to engage in sport. This has given me great experience to create & implement educational & recreational activities that are age-appropriate & support social/ developmental needs.
I have been a childcare provider since 2018. I am able to maintain & monitor health & wellbeing of young people including mealtimes, personal hygiene practices & basic first aid over prolonged periods of time.
Beyond this, I am able to have fun. Engaging in play, dress up, make believe and silly behaviour is important to me when building a relationship with child. This is, of course, age dependent but whether it is flying toy dragons or their maths homework, I will always show up with my best!
My Qualifications
I am trained in basic first aid, including use of an epipen. My previous work experience in a sports activity camp means I am very experienced when dealing with cuts, scrapes, falls, bumps & scratches.
I graduated from Birmingham City University with a 1st Class in BCs Hons Psychology. So, I am able to help with homework of all kinds!
My Availability
May availability is flexible. I am happy to work with you to find times that work for both of us so I can provide the care that you need.
