My Summary
About Me
I am a warm, caring and enthusiastic Norland Nanny who genuinely loves working with children and becoming a trusted part of family life. I have been nannying for over 12 years and feel incredibly fortunate to have a career that has taken me all over the world and allowed me to work with so many wonderful children and families.
I would describe myself as nurturing, fun, positive, organised and very hands-on. I love getting out and about with children, planning adventures and activities, encouraging their interests and creating a happy environment where they feel safe, secure and able to be themselves.
I believe every child is different, so I adapt my approach to their individual personality, needs and stage of development. Building a genuine bond with the children I care for is incredibly important to me, as is developing a trusting and respectful relationship with their parents.
I am confident, adaptable and calm, and equally happy getting stuck into busy family life or working within a more formal household. Above all, I aim to bring warmth, fun, consistency and a genuine love of childcare to the families I work with.
My Experience
I am a highly experienced Norland Nanny with over 12 years of professional childcare experience, caring for children from newborn through to school age.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work with an incredibly diverse range of families and household dynamics. My experience ranges from smaller, intimate and unstaffed family homes, where I have worked closely alongside parents and become a trusted and integral part of everyday family life, through to VIP, UHNW and high-profile households, prominent and well-known families, and titled households, including a Lord and Lady.
This breadth of experience has made me extremely adaptable. I am just as comfortable working independently within a relaxed family home and getting stuck into all aspects of day-to-day family life as I am working within a large, formal and fully staffed household. In staffed environments, I am experienced in liaising seamlessly with parents, household managers, private PAs, security, tutors, chefs, drivers and other household staff.
My work with VIP, UHNW and well-known families has also given me a thorough understanding of the discretion, confidentiality and professionalism required when working within high-profile private households. I understand the unique demands that can accompany these lifestyles and am confident maintaining consistency and stability for children around busy schedules, international travel and changing environments.
My experience spans newborn care, twins, multiple children, sole charge and shared care, proxy parenting and caring for children with SEN and additional needs, including ASD and ADHD. I have cared for children across a wide range of ages and developmental stages and tailor my approach to the individual child.
International travel has formed a significant part of my career. I have travelled extensively with families and have also relocated alongside families, supporting children as they adjust to new homes, countries, schools, cultures and routines. I am confident travelling independently with children and taking responsibility for their care and wellbeing away from their parents when required.
I have also had the privilege of supporting families through some of the most significant and sensitive periods of their lives. This has included welcoming newborns and supporting older siblings through the transition, starting nursery and school, developmental and educational transitions, international relocations and changes in family circumstances. I have also supported children and their families through bereavement, providing sensitive, stable and consistent care during an exceptionally difficult time.
My positions have involved responsibility for all aspects of children’s lives, including routines, development and education, activities, meals, appointments, playdates, nursery and school responsibilities, children’s administration, travel arrangements and liaising with parents, schools and other professionals.
My Norland training, combined with over a decade of experience within private households, has enabled me to develop into a confident, adaptable and highly professional career nanny. I pride myself on providing an exceptional standard of childcare while remaining warm, nurturing and genuinely invested in the children and families I work with.
Above all, I understand that working within a family’s home is a position of enormous trust. Whether I am working within a small family household or a high-profile, fully staffed environment, I bring the same level of warmth, discretion, professionalism, loyalty and dedication to every position.
