About Me
I am a qualified teacher and experienced private tutor based in Gloucester. I provide friendly, calm, and academically rigorous tuition in pupils’ homes and online. I believe that excellent lessons should be enjoyable as well as challenging, and I take time to understand each pupil’s interests, confidence, goals, and preferred ways of learning.
I teach English and Maths to GCSE, modern foreign languages, humanities, Physical Education, and school entrance examinations. I also support home-educated learners through personalised teaching, curriculum planning, study skills, and regular feedback.
Face-to-face tuition is available across Gloucester and surrounding parts of Gloucestershire. Online tuition is available throughout the UK.
My Experience
I have over 13 years’ combined experience in teaching, tutoring, coaching, and mentoring, and have delivered more than 14,000 lessons to over 500 pupils.
My professional experience includes teaching at Sherborne School and Institut auf dem Rosenberg in Switzerland. I have taught pupils following GCSE, A-Level, IB, AP, and school entrance pathways, including 7+, 11+, 13+, and 16+ preparation.
My specialist teaching areas include English and Maths to GCSE, German, French, Spanish, Russian, EAL, History, Politics, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Economics, essay writing, GCSE and A-Level Physical Education, IB Sports, Exercise and Health Science, BTEC Level 3 Sport, LNAT and critical thinking.
I have experience supporting pupils with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, poor working memory, slower processing, and low academic confidence. I adapt lesson pace, explanation, practice, and feedback to the individual without making assumptions about how a pupil learns.
My Qualifications
I hold Qualified Teacher Status, awarded following completion of statutory teacher induction through ISTIP, and a PGCE School Direct from St Mary’s University, Twickenham.
I graduated from Durham University with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Modern Foreign Languages, specialising in German and Russian. I also hold an Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence.
I have a current enhanced DBS certificate registered with the DBS Update Service and undertake continuing professional development in evidence-informed teaching, including Extensive Processing Instruction.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £50.00 per hour
Online tuition is £50 per hour. Face-to-face tuition is £50 per hour with a 90-minute minimum booking of £75.
