Hollie
Babysitter in Birmingham
About Me
Hi, I’m Hollie. I’m 21 and currently training as a teacher at Birmingham City University. I am passionate about working with children and supporting their growth, confidence and curiosity. I bring a calm, friendly and reliable approach to every childcare role and I always aim to create a safe, positive environment where children feel comfortable and valued.
I offer friendly, dependable childcare for families. Because of my teaching experience, I’m comfortable helping with homework, creating fun activities, supporting routines and keeping children engaged in a way that feels natural and relaxed. My service is all about care, communication and making sure your child feels safe, whether that’s during playtime, quiet time or the end of the day wind down.
My Experience
I have spent two years working closely with children aged 4-11 through my teaching placements and other childcare roles in nurseries and primary schools. It has given me a real understanding of how unique every child is. I’ve supported children with different learning needs, personalities and routines and I have learned how to create a clam, positive atmosphere where they feel comfortable and confident. Whether it’s helping with homework, encouraging creativity or simply being a steady, friendly presence, I always aim to make children feel safe, supported and cared for
My Qualifications
I'm currently training as a student teacher at Birmingham City University, which has given me a strong foundation in child development, safeguarding, behaviour support, and creating positive learning environments. Through my placements, I've worked closely with children aged 4-11 and gained hands-on experience supporting different needs, routines, and personalities. I'm confident planning activities, helping with learning, and building calm, trusting relationships with children. I bring patience, warmth, and a professional understanding of how to keep children safe, engaged, and happy.
My Availability
I’m available Monday to Friday across the day- mornings, afternoons, after school times and early evenings. Some days I will be at university, but I always plan ahead and communicate clearly with families so you know exactly when I am free. Even on my uni days, I can often work around my timetable and I make sure my availability stays consistent and easy to follow.
I am not available before school, overnight or on weekends at the moment, but during the week you can rely on me for steady, warm support and clear communication about any changes.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
My fees are kept simple and fair so families know exactly what to expect. I charge an hourly rate for childcare, and this covers everything from playtime and homework help to calm evening routines.
Because I'm a student teacher, I understand how important clear communication is, so I always make sure families are aware of any changes in advance. I'm happy to discuss your needs and find a rate that feels comfortable and reflects the care and consistency I provide.
