About Me

Hi, I’m Lisa, founder of Silver Fern Family Support.

Originally from New Zealand, I began my career as a nurse before moving to the UK in 2015. Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of roles, including as a School Welfare Officer and Mental Health Support Worker. I later retrained as a Social Worker, before welcoming my two beautiful boys in 2023 and 2025.

My ethos is simple: caring, considerate and compassionate support for you and your loved ones. You can find out more about me by searching my business name :)

I understand that every family has different needs, which is why I offer a flexible range of support. This can be anything from babysitting to give parents the opportunity to enjoy a well-deserved date night, through to more complex Personal Assistant (PA) support for families who require additional assistance.

Support is provided on an ad-hoc basis, giving you the flexibility you need — whether that’s cover during a carer’s holiday, short-term support, or regular as needed bookings arranged around your family’s needs.

Areas covered: Bracknell, Wokingham and Ascot.
Other areas may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

For your peace of mind, I hold valid Carers Insurance (when working in a self-employed PA capacity), an Enhanced DBS, and Paediatric First Aid certification.
