Hannah
Babysitter in Maidstone
About Me
Hi, I’m Hannah! I’m a qualified Science teacher with several years of experience working with children and young people across both mainstream and international schools.
I’m friendly, reliable and genuinely enjoy working with children. As a teacher, I’m used to creating a safe, positive and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable, supported and confident. I have experience working with a wide range of ages, abilities and individual needs, including children with additional learning and SEND needs.
Alongside teaching, I have also worked as a private tutor, supporting children with their academic work and helping them build confidence in subjects they may find challenging. I particularly enjoy making learning engaging and finding ways to explain things in a way that works for each individual child.
I’m now looking to take on babysitting, nannying and tutoring work alongside my teaching career. I’m happy to help with homework, schoolwork, activities, outings, meals and general childcare, and I’m equally happy to simply spend time playing and having fun with children!
I’m responsible, patient and organised, and I understand the importance of building trust with both children and parents. I’m also DBS checked and can provide references where required.
I’d love to hear from families looking for someone dependable, caring and experienced to support their children.
My Experience
Qualified Secondary School Teacher
I am a qualified Science teacher with several years of experience working with children and young people in secondary schools, including both UK and international school settings.
I have taught students from approximately ages 11–18 and have experience supporting children with a wide range of abilities, personalities and individual needs. My role involves creating a safe, supportive environment, managing behaviour positively and helping students develop both academically and personally.
My experience includes:
* Teaching and supervising secondary-aged children and teenagers.
* Supporting students with additional learning needs and SEND.
* Providing pastoral support and building positive relationships with students.
* Helping students with homework, revision and exam preparation.
* Planning and organising activities and practical work.
* Managing behaviour calmly and consistently.
* Supporting students’ confidence, independence and wellbeing.
* Communicating professionally with parents and families.
Private Tutoring
Alongside my teaching career, I have provided private tutoring to students on a regular basis. I have supported individual students with their academic work, particularly Science, adapting lessons to their ability and learning style.
I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to work closely with each student and build their confidence as well as their academic ability.
Childcare
Although my professional experience is primarily within secondary education, working as a teacher means I am highly experienced in taking responsibility for children’s safety, wellbeing and development. I am comfortable supervising children, helping with homework, organising activities and providing a calm, reliable and supportive presence.
I am particularly comfortable caring for school-aged children and teenagers and would be happy to provide babysitting, after-school care, tutoring and general childcare support.
