My Summary

My Experience

I have professional experience working across a range of nurseries, supporting children of different ages with their daily routines, learning and development. My responsibilities included helping to create a safe and nurturing environment, organising and supporting activities, supervising children, and assisting nursery staff with the day-to-day running of the setting.

Working across different nurseries taught me how to adapt quickly to new children, routines and environments while maintaining a high standard of care. I also have experience working with children with SEND and understand the importance of patience, communication and adapting my approach to each child’s individual needs.

Outside of nursery settings, I have babysat for extended family and family friends over the years. I also have five nephews and have regularly helped care for them since I was young.

Alongside childcare, I currently work as a Mental Health Support Worker, which has strengthened my communication skills, empathy, patience and ability to remain calm and responsible in challenging situations.

My Qualifications

I have hands-on professional childcare experience from working across multiple nursery settings, including experience supporting children with SEND. I also currently work as a Mental Health Support Worker and am a university student. Through these roles, I have developed strong safeguarding awareness, communication skills, patience, reliability and an understanding of how to support different individual needs.
