About Me
I’m an energetic, creative and academic individual who absolutely loves working with children. I trained in acting at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, graduating in 2023, and I’m now a working actor. I’ve found that my creative, empathetic and lively nature lends itself wonderfully to childcare, and I love bringing that creativity and energy into the time I spend with children.
I want children in my care to have a brilliant time! You can expect lots of arts and crafts, reading and exploring outdoors. I’m not a huge fan of too much screen time, although I’m definitely not opposed to a cosy film after a long day.
I’m friendly, responsible and enthusiastic and ideally I’d prefer regular work with the same family so I can get to know the children and they can get to know me!
My Experience
As the eldest child in a large family, I’ve always cared for babies and children of all ages but during my final year of drama school, I began working professionally with children as a drama teacher for the school’s youth drama club. I taught children and young people aged 6–18, most frequently working with the younger children. I had so much fun in this role that I quickly discovered a real passion for working with children and young people.
I have also had experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school, as well as regularly running creative workshops for young people aged 16–18.
Before moving to Bristol to begin my acting degree, I worked for just over a year and a half as a Success Guarantor and Form Tutor at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College in Cheshire (where I’m from). This experience gave me valuable insight into supporting young people both academically and personally. I’m therefore more than happy to help with homework for all ages, and I have a strong academic background myself, having achieved two As and a Distinction at A Level, as well as 4 A*s, 5 As and 2 Bs at GCSE.
