Hello parents,
My name is Sophie, and I am a Final Year Economics student at the University of Warwick, offering one-to-one private maths tutoring
My Experience
I’ve been tutoring children online for 5+ years, including primary school and secondary school students, and I genuinely love working with children. I’m very patient and encouraging, and I like making Maths enjoyable while building confidence and strong foundations.
Some results from students I’ve worked with:
• Year 8: Set 3 to Set 2 in 1 month, moving to Set 1 in 2 months
• Year 11: Grade 4 to Grade 6, moving from Foundation to Higher tier
• Year 13: A* in A-Level Maths after one year of tutoring, progressing from struggling to follow lessons to confidently answering most exam questions
I tailor lessons to each child and focus on understanding, confidence and problem-solving, rather than simply memorising methods
