About Me
I’m a qualified Spanish teacher with a PGCE and QTS, with experience working with children from early years through to secondary school. Alongside my teaching experience, I have worked as a private tutor and homeschool educator, including supporting children with additional learning needs. I particularly enjoy creating fun, engaging and personalised learning experiences through play, projects, creativity and real-world experiences. I’m warm, patient and enthusiastic, and I love building positive relationships with children while helping them develop their confidence, independence and curiosity. I’m also very comfortable supporting homework, general learning, creative activities and outings, and would be happy to work with families looking for either educational support or a combination of tutoring and childcare.
My Experience
I have 10 years’ experience working with children across education, tutoring and childcare. My experience includes a year in Madrid teaching English to children aged 3–16, followed by private tutoring and nannying in London, supporting a 13-year-old girl academically and providing childcare for a 10-year-old boy. I also worked as a travel tutor in Egypt, educating three children aged 3, 5 and 7 through project-based and Montessori-inspired learning. I subsequently spent a year providing personalised education to a child with an EHCP, delivering the core primary curriculum through play-based and project-based learning. In 2024, I returned to university to complete a PGCE in Secondary Education (Spanish), gaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
My Qualifications
I hold a BA (Hons) in Spanish and French with TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from Sheffield Hallam University, followed by a PGCE in Secondary Education (Spanish) from the University of Birmingham. I also hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). My academic and professional training has given me experience in language teaching, child development, differentiated learning, SEND and pastoral support.
My Availability
I am currently available for tutoring, homeschooling and childcare opportunities in London. I am based in Enfield currently and am particularly interested in in-person roles, with flexibility around days and hours. I am happy to consider both regular and ad-hoc work, as well as longer-term positions. I am currently flexible regarding the type of role and can discuss availability depending on the family’s requirements.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £30.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £50.00 per hour
My fees are flexible depending on the type of support required, the number of children, location and length of sessions. As a qualified teacher with extensive tutoring, homeschooling and childcare experience, my typical tutoring rate starts from £40 per hour. I am happy to discuss bespoke arrangements with families depending on their individual needs and requirements.
