About Me

Hello!

I’m someone who genuinely loves being around children and really enjoys getting to know their individual personalities and needs. I believe children should be treated with patience, kindness and respect, and I really value a gentle, child led approach.

I’m also interested in Montessori and have spent time researching the Montessori approach and how it can encourage independence, curiosity and confidence in children. I’m happy to plan activities together with parents based on their child’s interests, age and development, whether that’s creative activities, games, reading, outdoor play or something they’ve been wanting to learn about.

I have experience working with children with autism, as well as adults with autism, so I understand that every person is different and may need a slightly different approach. I’m comfortable adapting the environment and activities to suit individual needs, sensory preferences and communication styles, and I always try to create a calm and comfortable environment where children feel safe and understood.

I have also completed Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in Counselling. These have given me useful skills in active listening, communication, empathy, understanding emotions and building trust with others. I feel these skills are particularly valuable when working with children because every child communicates and expresses their feelings differently.

I’ll be honest, I might not have quite as many childcare certificates as some of the lovely nannies on here, but I’d like to think I can make up for that in other ways! I believe being a good person, having patience, genuinely caring about children and knowing how to make them feel safe and comfortable counts for a lot too.

I previously worked full time as a nanny and really enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, my previous childcare app account was deleted, so I’m now starting again on here.

I’m caring, patient and reliable, and I always want parents to feel comfortable communicating with me about their child and what works best for them. I’m happy to work with parents to make sure their child feels comfortable, supported and able to enjoy their time with me.
