About Me

Hi! I’m a warm, creative and adventurous local nanny, parent and qualified Children’s Yoga Instructor with a genuine love of working with children. I’m neurodivergent myself and have personal experience parenting a neurodivergent child, which has given me an understanding that children can communicate, learn, regulate and experience the world in very different ways. I really value getting to know each child as an individual and creating an environment where they can feel comfortable being themselves.

I have a creative background in singing, acting, dance and film, so creativity is naturally a big part of how I engage with children. I love art, storytelling, imaginative activities, movement and giving children opportunities for self-expression. I’m also very happy to slow things down, not every moment needs to be filled with an activity, and sometimes children simply need a calm, supportive adult and space to decompress.

I’m a huge nature and animal lover, with a particular interest in wildlife, ecosystems and the natural world. I’m an experienced pet owner with a variety of traditional and exotic pets of my own, including animals kept in bioactive enclosures with live plants and tiny organisms such as springtails that help maintain the ecosystem. I find it fascinating how plants, animals and other organisms interact, and I love sharing that curiosity with children in an age-appropriate and engaging way.

I love getting outdoors, whether that’s visiting the park, exploring our local area, noticing wildlife, drawing or painting outside, or getting creative with natural and recycled materials. I enjoy encouraging children to ask questions, notice the little things around them and explore how nature works, without making every outing feel like a lesson!

I’m particularly interested in supporting families looking for daytime childcare, including younger children who are not yet school age, home-educated children and school-age children who may be at home during the day. Having personal experience of home education, I understand that families and children can have very different routines and circumstances, and I aim to offer support without judgement.

Above all, I aim to provide childcare that is warm, flexible, creative and child-centred. Whether we’re reading, making something, moving, exploring outside, talking about an interesting creature we’ve spotted or simply having some quiet time, I’m happy to follow your child’s interests and adapt our time together around their age, personality and individual needs.

My Experience

I’m a parent and have first-hand experience supporting a neurodivergent child, as well as experience and training relating to working safely with children.

I have experience of home education and understand both the wonderful parts and the practical challenges that can come with it. I’m particularly interested in supporting home-educating families who may need another trusted adult during the day or afternoon.

My strengths are creative and practical rather than highly academic. I’m very happy to support reading, supervise homework and encourage children with work they already understand, while my particular strengths are art, creativity, movement, nature, imaginative activities and self-expression.

I enjoy following children’s interests rather than feeling that every moment needs to be structured. I’m equally happy doing an art project, reading together, heading to the park, making something from natural/recycled materials, having a conversation or giving a child some quiet time to decompress.

I’m particularly mindful that neurodivergent children may need flexibility, clear communication, sensory consideration and time to regulate, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

My Qualifications

I am a qualified Children’s Yoga Instructor and am currently continuing my studies and professional development before launching my own children’s yoga classes.

I hold an Enhanced DBS for the children’s workforce, including a Children’s Barred List check, and I am registered with the DBS Update Service.

I also hold a paediatric first-aid qualification and have completed multiple safeguarding courses, including general safeguarding and safeguarding relating to SEN.

My wider creative background includes singing, acting, poetry, dance and film, and I enjoy bringing those skills into age-appropriate creative activities, movement, storytelling and self-expression with children.

I am continuing to expand my professional training and intend to complete Common Core Skills & Knowledge training and apply to join the voluntary Ofsted Childcare Register as a nanny.

My Availability

I’m currently available for part-time weekday nannying, generally between 9:45am and 1:45pm Monday–Friday, while my own child is at school. This allows me to offer bookings of up to four hours during the day.

Depending on your location and the day, I may occasionally be able to start from around 9:30am. I do need to leave by 1:45pm at the latest due to my own childcare commitments.

I’m happy to support a wide range of families, including younger children who are not yet school age, home-educated children, and school-age children who may be at home during the day for other reasons. I’m not here to judge anyone’s circumstances, my aim is simply to provide warm, reliable and supportive childcare that works for your family.

I enjoy providing creative, child-led care and making the most of the resources and interests already available to each child. This might mean reading, drawing or creating with materials you already have at home, getting outdoors, visiting the park, enjoying movement or yoga, or simply having some calm downtime together.

I also love finding creativity in everyday experiences, for example a walk in the park might inspire us to collect fallen leaves, sticks or other suitable natural materials, or simply observe, draw and explore what we find around us.

I primarily accept bookings within approximately 30 minutes’ travel of Walthamstow and will always confirm that the journey is practical before arranging a booking.

I’m very happy to adapt our time together around your child’s age, personality, interests and needs.

My Fees

  • Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)

My current nanny rate is £17 gross per hour for one child, with a minimum booking of 2 hours.

For two children from the same household, my rate is £19 gross per hour.

This covers my childcare time and the activities we can enjoy using resources already available in your home or free local opportunities such as parks, nature walks and outdoor exploration.

Any additional costs incurred while caring for your child/children, such as public transport, paid activities or admission fees, would be covered by the family and agreed beforehand.

I primarily accept bookings within approximately 30 minutes’ travel of Walthamstow. If a booking requires additional travel, a contribution towards my travel costs can be discussed before confirming the booking.

I’m happy to discuss arrangements for regular bookings or individual family circumstances.
