About Me
Hi! I’m a friendly, energetic and caring student currently studying English Literature. I love being creative, spending time with others and bringing a positive attitude to everything I do. Having been a dance teacher, I have a real love for music, movement and helping others express themselves. In my free time, I enjoy reading and discovering new stories. I would describe myself as kind, enthusiastic and patient, and I love creating a fun, welcoming environment for those around me.
My Experience
I have four years of babysitting experience, mainly caring for children aged 5–12. During this time, I have gained experience supporting children with their homework, collecting them from school and keeping them entertained in a safe, fun and caring environment.
When I am home from university, I also work as a companion to a young person with additional needs and autism. This has helped me develop my understanding of individual needs and the importance of patience, kindness and adapting to each person's preferences.
I really enjoy spending time with children, helping them learn and grow, and making sure they feel comfortable, happy and supported. I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident that their children are in safe and caring hands.
My Qualifications
I have a strong academic background and a passion for learning. I achieved 11 GCSEs, including A*s in both English Literature and English Language. I then completed an Access to Higher Education Diploma in Humanities, achieving distinctions across all subjects, and I am currently studying for a BA in English Literature at the University of York.
Alongside my academic qualifications, I have completed ballet training up to Advanced 1 level. My dance background has helped me develop discipline, creativity and confidence, which I love bringing into my work with children. I would also be happy to support children with reading, English and homework where needed.
