My Experience

I am an OFSTED registered childminder since the start of this year.

During my time in the Netherlands, I worked as a dinner lady, and helped the children as they played outside. I also helped the children while they were reading, correcting them with any mistakes. Since moving to the UK, I helped the school my kids went to whenever there was a school trip, even when the children were taken to swimming. I raised 4 kids as a stay at home mother, so caring for multiple children across age groups is not an issue for me. I live near the city centre, so any university students or people who work in town can easily drop off their children on their way to the lecture or shift.

Our house is bilingual, with English and Somali being spoken all the time. My husband and I speak Dutch and my husband can also speak Arabic and Urdu fluently, so your child will develop the skill of being able to hear and understand multiple languages.

We want to create a home away from home, a welcoming and loving environment in which your children can grow and develop. We have an adequate living space completely child proofed, with access to a kitchen and toilet which can help with potty training. We offer healthy breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinners depending on your needs. We would also love to help the children develop in regards to hygiene, washing of the hands, brushing of the teeth, rinsing of the face.

We will plan developmental lessons in advance, observe how the children do, and provide feedback on the children's progress to the parents. This constant contact with the parents allows us to truly optimise the development and enjoyment and safety of the children, and by extension relieving the stress upon the parents.

We are flexible on days and times, we are able to take care of newborns, toddlers, as well as looking after children after school. We are certain that we can adapt and find the best solution to suit your wants and needs.

My Availability

I am available any time on the weekdays, except for overnight childcare. I am willing to do school drop offs and pick ups. No availability on weekends, except special circumstances.

My Fees

• Childminding from £12.00 per hour

£12 an hour, willing to negotiate packages if you want more hours or more consistent hours.
