My Summary

My Experience

I have experience teaching children across the primary age range, with my current teaching role focused on Key Stage 1. I have a strong knowledge of early reading and phonics and can support children with developing their reading skills, blending, decoding, spelling and comprehension.

I can provide support with English, Phonics and maths, including helping children to strengthen areas they may find challenging, consolidate classroom learning and prepare for the next stage of their education.

Alongside my classroom experience, I have worked with children with additional needs and understand the importance of adapting activities and approaches to suit different learning styles, abilities and levels of confidence.

My Montessori experience has also given me an appreciation for encouraging children to become independent, resilient and motivated learners.

My Qualifications

I am a qualified primary school teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I currently teach in Key Stage 1 and have experience supporting children across the primary age range.

My teaching experience has given me a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, particularly in early reading, phonics, English and maths. I am also experienced in adapting teaching and learning to meet individual children’s needs and supporting children to develop confidence and independence.

My Availability

I currently offer tutoring sessions at my home on Sundays and limited availability weekday evenings.

Sessions can be tailored to the individual child, whether they need support with a particular area of the curriculum, help to catch up and consolidate learning, or simply a confidence boost.

I am happy to discuss your child’s individual needs and agree on a suitable session time.
