My Experience

Rendcomb College - GAP Teaching Assistant | 18 months | Cirencester, UK

I spent 18 months as a GAP Teaching Assistant at an independent school catering from Nursery through to Sixth Form. I supported teaching staff across Year 1 to Year 6 and in the Nursery, working across all subjects and age groups. A particularly meaningful part of this role was providing dedicated one-on-one support for children who needed extra attention - including children with autism, dyslexia and ADHD, as well as their siblings, who sometimes struggled emotionally as a result of the demands placed on the family. I took this responsibility very seriously and approached each child as an individual, always looking for what they needed rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. I also assisted with PE lessons and coached tennis to Junior and Senior pupils, and supported children with additional emotional needs throughout the school day.

Ciesielski Family — Nanny | 4 months | Berlin & Mallorca

I worked as part of a team of five nannies for a high-net-worth German family, caring for six children all under the age of three. This was a fast-paced, high-responsibility role requiring 60 hours of childcare per week alongside housekeeping duties including laundry, cleaning and kitchen upkeep. Working in a team environment with very young children taught me a great deal about communication, consistency and staying calm under pressure.

Vesely Family — Nanny | 1 month | Mallorca

I cared full-time for three young children aged 9 months, 2 and 4 years old while their family was on holiday in Mallorca. I was responsible for all daily routines including meals, nap times, activities and daily swimming lessons. For all three children, English was their third language, which gave me great experience in connecting with and nurturing children across a language barrier.

Garner Family — Live-in Nanny | 6 months | Jersey & Mallorca

I lived with a British family as their full-time nanny for a 3 and 5 year old. My days included morning school runs alongside the mother, housekeeping during the day, preparing dinner for the children, and managing the full bedtime routine independently. At weekends I would take the children out to the park or to activities, and on occasions when the parents went away for a few nights I held sole responsibility for the children's care. This role gave me a real sense of what it means to be a trusted, dependable presence in a child's life.

Volunteering & Community Work | South Africa

I have been involved in several volunteer programmes working with underprivileged children in South Africa, all of which I chose to do independently rather than as part of a school requirement.

Through Child Welfare, I taught English and Mathematics on Sunday sessions in local township schools, working with children who had little or no English. My ability to speak conversational IsiXhosa helped bridge the language gap and build trust with the children.

Through the George Dickinson Reading Programme, I walked to a less privileged local school once a week to read with children aged 6 to 8. My Afrikaans and IsiXhosa helped enormously with children who couldn't communicate in English.

Through the St Mary's Visual Learning Programme, I welcomed underprivileged children to my school and taught them computer literacy and reading skills through a combined digital and literacy programme - navigating a significant language barrier with patience and creativity.

My Availability

I am extremely flexible and available across a wide range of days and hours. As I study online, my schedule is highly adaptable and I am able to work around the needs of each family. I am available for both regular ongoing arrangements and one-off or ad hoc bookings, including evenings and weekends.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
