My Experience

I have worked in childcare since 2007, giving me almost 20 years of experience caring for children of all ages. I started my childcare career working in a nursery, where I stayed until 2019. Alongside this, I began doing after-school nannying in 2007, which is where I discovered how much I enjoyed working closely with families and being part of their everyday lives.

In 2019, I made the move into full-time nannying and have been lucky enough to work for an amazing family ever since. I have built a really lovely relationship with the children and have been a big part of their routines, development and day-to-day life. I’m sadly leaving them now as their youngest is heading off to full-time school, so I’m looking forward to finding another family where I can build that same special relationship.

I offer a wide range of nanny services and can tailor my care around each family’s individual needs. I’m happy to help with school and nursery drop-offs and collections, homework, activities, playdates, days out, meal preparation, bath and bedtime routines and keeping children entertained and engaged throughout the day.

I’m also happy to help with the practical side of family life, including children’s laundry, tidying bedrooms and play areas, organising school bags, preparing meals and keeping on top of children’s daily routines.

I love planning fun and age-appropriate activities, whether that’s getting outdoors, visiting parks and local attractions, arts and crafts, baking, reading, music or simply having relaxed play at home.

I’m reliable, patient, friendly and flexible, and I understand that every family is different. I take pride in providing children with a safe, happy and nurturing environment where they feel comfortable, supported and able to be themselves.

After nearly 20 years in childcare, I feel incredibly lucky to have made a career out of something I genuinely enjoy. I’m now looking forward to meeting a new family and hopefully becoming a trusted and valued part of their lives. ??

My Qualifications

I’m Level 3 qualified in Childcare and have extensive hands-on experience working with children of all ages.

I have also studied Child Psychology, which has given me a good understanding of children’s emotional, social and developmental needs, although I have not yet completed the full course.

My paediatric first aid training is due for renewal, and I am committed to completing an up-to-date first aid course before starting with a new family.

My Availability

I’m ideally looking to work around 3 days a week. After always working full-time, I’d like to have a little more balance so I can have some time for myself and also be available for my own boys when they need me.

I’m happy to be flexible with occasional evenings, and I really believe parents deserve some time to themselves too! As part of my childcare service, I’m happy to offer one evening of babysitting free of charge each month, so parents can enjoy some well-deserved time together.

I’m also experienced with overnight care and weekend childcare, whether that’s to give parents a well-deserved break, allow them to travel or simply have some extra support. I have also travelled with families in the past and would be happy to discuss this on an individual basis.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
• Nannying from £20.00 per hour (net)

My nannying rate starts from £20 per hour for one child. For additional children, the rate will increase depending on the number and ages of the children and the level of care required.

I’m happy to discuss individual family requirements, including additional needs, evenings, weekends, overnight care and travel, and agree a rate that works fairly for everyone.

My rates reflect my nearly 20 years of childcare experience, Level 3 childcare qualification and extensive experience working as a nanny and supporting families.
