About Me
Hello! I’m Cheryl, a warm, positive and caring 22 year old who loves working with children of all ages and needs. I enjoy facilitating play and creating a fun, stimulating environment where children feel comfortable, supported and free to be themselves. I am naturally tidy and I love organising spaces.
I aspire to become a Child Wellbeing Practitioner, so I have a genuine interest in children’s wellbeing and development. I’d love to work together with you to understand your child’s individual needs, interests and routines, and find ways to make their time with me fun, comfortable and enjoyable. My aim is to create a safe and nurturing environment where your child feels happy and cared for.
Although I don’t drive, I have good access to public transport and can travel easily across London.
My Experience
I have experience working as a teaching assistant in a pre-nursery school, as well as an English tutor in Hong Kong.
During my time as a teaching assistant, I worked with children aged 3 to 6, facilitating play, encouraging social interaction, and leading group sessions. As an English tutor, I taught English as a second language to groups of children aged 8 to 14, supporting them in developing their grammar, vocabulary, reading, and written communication skills in line with a set syllabus.
In addition to my practical experience, I hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a postgraduate degree in Mental Health Studies, which have provided me with a good understanding of child development and mental health.
