About Me
Bright children who struggle to show it need someone who sees the ability behind the difficulty. I'm a qualified Physiotherapist and a mother of five, with personal and professional experience of dyslexia, ADHD and autism. I have seen too many children lose confidence in themselves and education, but also how quickly that shifts when the right support lands. I embrace the Nanny McPhee (Nurse Matilda) approach: build trust and provide the right level of support whilst empowering children to grow into independent learners.
My Experience
I have a specialist interest in neurodevelopment with further training in dyslexia and autism, and I've supported learners aged 4 to 18 across specialist and mainstream settings, including taking one sixth-former through three A-levels and on to university. My physiotherapy background means I approach learning through movement and making as well as paper and screen, so visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learners all get an approach that fits. Whether it's reading, writing, study skills or exam technique, from primary school to university, we'll build strategies that work for your child and that means I can become redundant.
