About Me
My name is Bessie and I am a caring, reliable and organised nanny. I have recently finished a job within the charity sector and running weekly art classes for children between the ages of 13-15. I am now focusing on my own artistic practice, looking for a part-time position as a nanny.
I grew up in a large family with lots of pets (and lots of chaos), so I am ready to get stuck in and help out with family life. I love the energy and enthusiasm of working with children, particularly their wild imagination and funny stories.
I am also happy to help out round the house with cooking, cleaning, homework and keeping the children entertained with crafts and games. I have lots of experience running creative workshops with children, so I would love to share that knowledge. I also love the outdoors, so I am happy to enjoy the park through all of Edinburgh's seasons.
My availability is very flexible. As an artist, I am able to work around a schedule that suits you and your family. I live in central Edinburgh, so my preference would be no overnight stays; however, when necessary I am more than happy to help out.

My Experience
My experience ranges from working in the charity sector to running weekly art classes for children with less access to arts education. I have supported children with a range of learning requirements and mental health problems. I always approach childcare with empathy and patience, prioritise listening to the children and form genuine trusting relationships.
I also have experience in high-end hospitality and food prep, so I am able to cook nutritious meals and keep the house organised.
