My Summary
About Me
Hi! I’m a caring, patient and enthusiastic mum who genuinely loves spending time with children and helping them learn, grow and feel happy and secure.
I’ve been around children for most of my life, from growing up with three younger siblings to babysitting for other families as a teenager and later working as an au pair in Marbella, Spain. I also have personal experience as a mum to my three-year-old son, which has given me an even deeper appreciation of children’s individual needs, routines and little personalities.
I love reading stories, playing games, encouraging creativity and finding fun, age-appropriate activities to enjoy together. I believe children thrive when they feel safe, listened to, loved and understood, and I always aim to create a calm, warm and positive environment.
Outside of childcare, I’m a huge foodie and love discovering new foods, travelling and learning new languages. I’ve also spent time studying skincare, beauty treatments, anatomy and physiology, as well as business and management.
After spending the last few years as a stay-at-home mum, I’m now looking forward to returning to childcare and supporting other families with reliable, loving and flexible care. Whether you need a regular nanny or an occasional babysitter for a few hours, I’d love to help make family life that little bit easier.
I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your children, and I would always aim to give parents peace of mind and children a happy, safe and nurturing experience.
My Experience
Au Pair – Private Family, Marbella, Spain | One year
I worked as a live-in au pair for a family with three children aged two months, four years and six years. This role gave me valuable hands-on experience caring for a baby alongside two school-aged children.
My responsibilities included:
* Providing attentive, full-day care for the baby, from waking up in the morning through to feeding, naps, daily care and bedtime.
* Following the baby’s daily routine and ensuring their needs were met throughout the day.
* Waking the older children, helping them get dressed and ready for school, and preparing breakfast and lunches.
* Preparing meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.
* Caring for all three children after school, during weekends and throughout the school holidays or other periods when care was needed.
* Supporting bedtime routines and helping the children settle for the night.
* Providing a caring, safe and positive environment for children of different ages.
Babysitting – Teenage Years
I began babysitting at around 14 years old, initially gaining experience by helping care for my three younger siblings. I also babysat for other families to earn money, developing my confidence in caring for children, keeping them entertained and helping with their everyday needs.
Personal Childcare Experience – Motherhood
As a mum to a three-year-old, I have hands-on experience with the everyday realities of caring for a young child, including routines, meals, play, reading, emotional support and encouraging independence as they grow. Motherhood has further strengthened my patience, understanding and appreciation of the importance of creating a loving and consistent environment for children.
