Babysitter in Newcastle
My Summary
About Me
I’m a university student studying Forensic Psychology, and I’m a friendly, caring and responsible person who loves spending time with children. I’m part of both a competitive cheerleading team and a competitive dance team, and in my spare time I enjoy reading and cooking. Before moving to university, I regularly babysat my cousins every week, which gave me experience looking after children and keeping them happy and entertained. I believe it’s important for children to receive plenty of attention and have fun, whether that’s playing games, getting creative, going to the park or simply spending quality time together. I’m reliable, patient and fun-loving, and I’d love to create a safe, happy environment where children feel comfortable and enjoy themselves!
My Experience
I have several years of babysitting experience caring for my two cousins, who are autistic. I regularly looked after them every week from when they were around 6 until 12 years old, before moving away to university. This experience taught me the importance of being patient, understanding and adaptable to each child’s individual needs and personality. I enjoyed spending time with them, keeping them entertained through games and activities, and making sure they felt happy, comfortable and cared for. Babysitting them helped me develop my confidence and responsibility when looking after children, and I understand how important it is to create a safe, supportive and fun environment where every child feels valued.
My Qualifications
I achieved A-levels in Law, Forensic Psychology and Criminology, achieving grades ABB, and I am currently studying Forensic Psychology at university. At GCSE level, I achieved a Grade 9 in Health and Social Care, Grade 6s in English and Art, and Grade 5s in Maths and Science. My studies have helped me develop an understanding of people, individual needs and wellbeing. Alongside my academic qualifications, I have several years of hands-on babysitting experience caring for my autistic cousins, which has helped me develop patience, responsibility and an understanding of the importance of providing attentive, compassionate care for children. I am also happy to obtain a DBS check to provide parents with additional reassurance and peace of mind.
