About Me
I'm a university student in Falmouth, originally from the Turks and Caicos Islands. Growing up in a close-knit community taught me how much it matters for children to be surrounded by caring, trustworthy people, and that's exactly what I aim to be for your family.
I love being creative, whether that's arts and crafts or music, with dance-offs and made-up routines guaranteed. I'm very active too, so I'm always happy to take children to the park or beach to burn off energy. For quieter moments, I enjoy reading stories or settling in with a film.
I also love baking and teaching children to make sweet treats, including healthier versions.
Above all, I'm reliable, patient and fun, so children have a great time and parents can relax knowing they're in safe hands.
My Experience
As an older sister with a five-year age gap, I grew up babysitting my little sister and her friends. Now, whenever I'm back home, I look after my two-year-old god brother, so I'm comfortable caring for toddlers as well as older children.
Throughout primary and secondary school, I volunteered to help children from preschool to Year 5 learn to read. I still enjoy supporting learning and now help my sister, who is in secondary school, with geography, business and art.
During my secondary school summers, I was a mentor at a girls' equestrian camp, looking after the younger campers. I organised games, helped them care for their horses and supported anyone feeling homesick.
These experiences have given me confidence with children of all ages, from toddlers to teenagers, and the patience to help them learn, play and feel at home.
My Qualifications
I have applied for my DBS check and my application has been approved and cleared.
My Availability
My university timetable gives me good flexibility. I'm available for school pick-ups on foot and can stay into the early evening, typically between 3pm and 7:30pm. During half-term holidays, I'm happy to cover full days.
