About Me
Hi, I am Charlotte. I am a friendly, approachable and enthusiastic educator with a degree in Primary Education, graduating in 2024. I currently work as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), with experience supporting children across the primary age range. I am passionate about helping children develop confidence, enjoy learning and reach their full potential. I understand that every child learns differently, so I aim to create a positive, patient and supportive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and celebrating their achievements. I particularly enjoy making learning engaging, interactive and fun, while ensuring children develop strong foundations in key areas such as phonics, reading, writing and maths. I pride myself on building positive relationships with children and adapting my approach to suit their individual needs, abilities and learning styles.
My Experience
I have experience supporting and tutoring children across the primary age range, including previously providing tutoring to Year 4 and Year 5 pupils. Through this experience, I have developed an understanding of how to identify individual learning needs, adapt activities and explain concepts in different ways to help children build their knowledge and confidence. My current role as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant has further strengthened my experience working with children of varying abilities, including those who benefit from additional support or a more tailored approach to learning. I have experience supporting key areas of the primary curriculum, including English, maths and reading, and particularly enjoy breaking down more challenging concepts into manageable, engaging activities. I aim to make every tutoring session enjoyable, encouraging and purposeful, ensuring children feel supported while making progress towards their individual goals.
My Qualifications
I hold a degree in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). I hold all relevant GCSE’s and I successfully completed the International Baccalaureate in sixth form. I also have a valid uk driving license and my own vehicle.
My Availability
I work until 5 or 6 most days but I am available afterwards Monday - Thursdays and also Saturday mornings.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £15.00 per hour
£15 - £25 per hour, depending on the task and content teaching.
