About Me
Hi, I’m Jessica! I’m a friendly, reliable and caring qualified primary school teacher and mum of three young children, based in Peacehaven.
I have many years of experience caring for babies and children of different ages and love creating a warm, safe and fun environment where children feel comfortable and happy. I’m confident with everything from newborn and baby care through to toddlers, primary-aged children and older children.
I’m happy to help with daytime childcare, evening babysitting and weekends, and I’m very comfortable following your child’s usual routines around meals, bedtime, play and settling.
As a teacher, I’m also very happy supporting children with homework, reading, creative activities and learning through play. I have experience supporting children with additional needs and understand that every child is different, so I’m always happy to follow parents’ guidance regarding routines, communication and individual needs.
I’m also fluent in Spanish and would be very happy to speak Spanish with children or incorporate it naturally into play and activities if families would like me to.
My Experience
I have been babysitting for approximately 13 years and during that time have regularly cared for children for a number of different families, including babies, toddlers and school-aged children.
Alongside my babysitting experience, I am a qualified primary school teacher and have extensive professional experience working with children in school settings. I have worked across the primary age range and have also spent an academic year working as a SENCO Assistant, giving me additional experience supporting children with special educational needs and adapting care and communication to individual children.
In addition to my professional childcare experience, I’m a mum of three young children myself, so I have plenty of hands-on experience with newborns, feeding, nappies, naps, bedtime routines, toddlerhood and the everyday realities of caring for little ones!
I’m calm, patient and dependable, and I understand how important it is for parents to feel completely comfortable with the person looking after their children.
My Qualifications
My qualifications and professional training include:
• BA (Hons) Music with Instrumental & Vocal Teaching – 2:1
• Primary PGCE with Modern Languages specialism
• BIMM Diploma in Vocals
• BTEC Level 3 Award in Performing – Distinction
• BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Composing – Distinction*
• ABRSM Grade 3 and Grade 4 qualifications
I have also held responsibility within schools for Music, Spanish and IT, and have extensive experience planning engaging activities, managing groups of children, supporting behaviour positively and helping children feel safe and secure.
My Availability
Tuesdays and Thursdays all day

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
My babysitting rate starts from £15 per hour.
Rates may vary slightly depending on the number and ages of children, the hours required, location and whether care is needed late at night, overnight or at weekends.
I’m very happy to discuss regular bookings and ongoing arrangements with families.
Travel within my local area is included, with any additional travel costs agreed in advance for bookings further afield.
