My Experience

I’ve worked in primary education for over 13 years, including as a classroom teacher, Deputy Headteacher and Lead Practitioner for Teaching and Learning.

Throughout my career, I’ve taught and supported children across the primary age range, from the early years through to Year 6.

My experience includes teaching early reading and phonics, developing children’s English and maths skills, supporting pupils with additional learning needs and preparing children for important transitions and assessments.

As a school leader, I’ve worked closely with teachers, children and parents to identify barriers to learning, develop effective teaching approaches and help children make meaningful progress.

I’ve also coached and mentored teachers, supported improvements in teaching across multiple schools and worked extensively with the primary curriculum and assessment expectations.

I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a Master’s degree in Science Education from King’s College London and the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).

What matters most to me is helping children feel successful. I understand that not every child learns in the same way or at the same pace, and I adapt my teaching to meet them where they are.

I bring the experience of a school leader together with the patience, encouragement and personal attention of a one-to-one tutor.

My aim is simple: for every child to leave their session feeling more confident, more capable and proud of what they’ve achieved.

I’m a fully qualified teacher with over 13 years’ experience in primary education.

My professional qualifications include:

* National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), 2022
* Designated Safeguarding Lead training, 2025
* Enhanced DBS check

I’ve also held senior school leadership positions, including Deputy Headteacher and Lead Practitioner for Teaching and Learning.

Alongside my qualifications, I bring extensive experience in primary teaching, curriculum development, assessment, phonics, early reading and supporting children with additional learning needs.

My Availability

I offer flexible one-to-one tutoring for primary-aged children, from Reception to Year 6.

Sessions are available after school and during the evenings, with some daytime availability for home-educated children.

Tutoring can take place online via Microsoft Teams or face-to-face at your home in Slough, Burnham and surrounding areas.

I offer both regular weekly sessions and six-week learning blocks.

My Fees

• Tutoring from £50.00 per hour

FREE first session – 45 minutes

An opportunity for your child to get to know me, for us to discuss their learning needs and for you to decide whether tutoring is right for them.

Individual tutoring – £50 per hour

Personalised one-to-one tutoring, tailored to your child’s age, confidence and learning needs.

Six-week learning block – £270

Six one-hour sessions, saving £30 compared with booking individually.

All sessions include planning and preparation, with no additional charges for local travel within my usual teaching area.

Online sessions and face-to-face tutoring are available at the same price.

No pressure or long-term contracts. Just experienced, thoughtful teaching to help your child progress.
