My Summary

My Experience

As part of my degree course I have gained experiences working with all ages of children. I have spent time in nurseries, with children between the ages of 6 months to 4 years, foundation classes and Year 1 and 2 classes. I also have relevant experience with very young babies as I worked alongside a Health Visitor, attending baby clinics and Children centres.

I have worked alongside my mother, who was a childminder, during school holidays.

In addition, I have a lot of experience working with children with Special Educational Needs as I helped run an afterschool club for SEN children and spent 6 weeks volunteering in a Special Needs school. After completing my degree I have worked in schools, both special needs and mainstream. I worked as a Teaching Assistant in a Specail Needs School and as the nursery teacher in a mainstream school, responsible for the education of pre school age children. I have also worked on a holiday camp as the Early Years Manager.

I have also worked as the Nursery Teacher within the foundation stage class of a primary school.

I have also gained 8 years of experience teaching Year 1 and 2 children. I am currently tutoring children between the ages of 6-11.

PGCE- Primary Education

BA Honours Early Childhood Studies.

National Certificate Health and Social Care.

DBS Check.

Child Protection Training.

Paediatric First Aid.
