About Me
I am a kind and caring teacher with a lot of patience. My passion is teaching children to read as it is an important life skill. My belief is to teach through enjoyment, as this is when children learn best. I enjoy watching children develop on 1:1 basis, as it can have a big impact on their confidence.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, puzzles, knitting and walking.
My Experience
I have been a primary school teacher for 4 years, specialising in early years, early reading reading and phonics. Prior to this I managed an early years setting, after completing my degree in early childhood studies.
I have an in-depth knowledge of different phonics schemes used in schools, as well as preparation for the national phonics screening check in year 1.
Alongside reading, I have vast experience in developing children’s ability to write. Ensuring they have opportunities to develop their fine motor skills.
I am experienced in and enjoy teaching all primary school subjects, including maths and English. I have in-depth knowledge of teaching the national curriculum. I have experience with white rose maths scheme and developing mastery in maths.
I will tailor a bespoke learning experience individualised to your child’s learning and academic needs whilst ensuring they have fun and progress.
