Hello! My name is Lia. I’m a fun, bubbly and outgoing person who has lived in the area all my life. I come from a close-knit family and have a wonderful long-term partner. My Italian heritage has given me a love for family, laughter, and good food — all things I try to bring into everyday life.
Outside of family time, I enjoy seeing friends, keeping active and love going to the theatre whenever I can. Friends and family would describe me as caring, friendly, and reliable — someone who naturally connects with people of all ages. Growing up in such a supportive community has made me appreciate the importance of trust and warmth in childcare, and I always aim to bring that same energy and enthusiasm to every family I work with.
My Experience
I have 23+ years of experience in childcare, working with children from newborns right through to school age. I began my career in a children’s day nursery, where I spent five years caring for little ones from birth to four years old. After that, I became a full-time nanny for one family, supporting twins from seven months old through to their school years — an experience that really deepened my passion for nurturing children’s development and building strong, lasting relationships. Since then, I have continued to nanny for a variety of families, caring for children of all ages adapting to each family’s individual routines and needs. In addition to this, I have also had experience working with children with special educational needs.
In addition to nannying, I spent three years as a Teaching Assistant at a Primary School, which gave me a broader skill set and valuable insight into early education. Alongside my main role as a nanny, I’ve always taken on regular babysitting jobs, many with long-standing families who trust me for overnight stays and ongoing support. In more recent years, I’ve also helped families with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and general organisation — ensuring their day-to-day lives run that little bit more smoothly.

My Availability
I have outlined my latest availability below. My current working situation means that I can only commit Monday evenings (available for school pick up) & Wed-Fri for full time hours. I am always open to discuss babysitting, overnight stays & weekend work on an ad-hoc basis.

Hourly Nanny Rates:
Daytime care (minimum rate): from £19/hour.

Hourly Babysitting Rates:
Daytime care (minimum rate): from £17/hour.
This is reflective of my 23+ years experience delivering quality childcare.
Hourly Overnight Babysitting Rates:
From 6am-midnight = Standard hourly rate applies (£17/hour)
Fixed Sleeping Hrs fee (Midnight - 6am) = £60
*Pricing may vary based on number of children & babies under 18 months.
Transport costs:
I have a full driving license. Happy to travel and would only ask for a standard per mile fee of 0.45p to cover total milage of my journey.

Lia has been assisting my family for the last 2 years. My daughters are 5 years and 1.5 years. She is caring, reliable, and I can always depend on her. She takes the girls out on trips or walks and does creative activities with them. They love it when Lia comes over to look after them!

I was first drawn to Lia because of her approach to learning about my daughter’s needs/routine prior to arriving for any babysitting date. Her caring and friendly nature stood out when we first met and made me feel at ease when choosing a babysitter for my daughter.
Lia is punctual and very friendly - I’d be happy to recommend her.

Lia is absolutely amazing with my 2 year old daughter, she feels so comfortable around her and took to her straight away on the 1st night Lia babysat. She now asks about Lia all the time and gets excited when I say she's coming over. Lia is patient, friendly, punctual and will always help out last minute if she can. I couldn't reccomend her enough.

Lia was part of my families life for nearly 6 years, from when my children were 18 months and nearly 3 years old. She’s always cared for my children’s needs, whatever they may be and she’s was a great person to have around. We miss her dearly, but hope she can provide as much care and support for the next family. I would totally recommend her to anyone.
