About Me
Hi my name is Lisa.I’m a Care Inspectorate registered childminder in Inverkeithing. I'm a member of SCMA (Scottish Childminding Association) and also insured with SCMA. I have been a childminder since 2012. I'm married to Wullie and have 2 daughters, Murron 23yrs and Niamh 17yrs. In the past I worked as a shop supervisor for Geoffrey (tailor) kiltmakers on the royal mile in Edinburgh, where I supervised aprox 7 members of staff,managed stock and the daily running of the shop and met and served people from all over the world. I gave up work in order to care for my own 2 children and have never looked back. I found being able to be a stay at home mum rewarding and challenging and so decided that becoming a childminder would be the ideal job for me. In my role as a childminder I would like to use my experience and skills which I have learned, to care for children and encourage them to learn and develop, as well as providing a safe and fun environment in a home from home setting.
I aim to provide parents with good quality child care, allowing them to be free of worry whilst their child is in my care.
My Experience
I am a mother to 2 daughters and will use the experience I have gained during the past 23yrs to care for minded children. I have completed many courses in the past 12 yrs as a childminder and continue to keep up to date with relevant training. I am Paediatric First Aid trained and hold up to date child protection training alongside many other certificated courses.
My Qualifications
At present I have completed the 'Getting It Right For Every Child' (GIRFEC) CPD course and also 'Supporting Children's Learning And Development' CPD course. I am First Aid trained and I will attend any other relevant courses throughout which will help me provide the best quality of care for minded children.
My Availability
At present I have spaces available for pre school Full days and Before/After School/ Nursery ( drop off/ pick up Inverkeithing school/nursery) Mon -Thurs
Hours of business are :
Full day: 7:30am - 5:30pm (Monday - Thursday) 7:30am - 4:30pm ( Friday)
Morning: 7:30am - 12:30pm (Monday - Friday)
Afternoon 12:30pm - 5:30pm (Monday - Thursday) 12:30m -4:30pm (Friday)
Before school session : 7:30am - 9:00am (Monday - Friday)
After school session : 3:00pm - 5:30pm (Monday-Thursday) or 3.00pm - 4:30pm (Friday)
Closed : Christmas Day
